NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.
CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS
You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on February 2. Pre-enrolment ends on March 25, 2026 at 4pm.

Full in Planned Classes for 2025-2026
For the 2025 - 2026 school year, Aleda Patterson School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten to Grade 3 in the regular program, including Full day Kindergarten.
A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 3 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enroll in another Division school with space in planned classes.

Welcome to Aleda Patterson School! We are delighted to be entering our fifth year serving learning in Kindergarten to grade 3. At Aleda Patterson, we see every child as mighty and capable, full of endless potential and brilliant ideas! Our school experience is built on powerful foundations that inspire joyful, meaningful learning every day:
- Learning Through Play & Nature Play: We believe the world is the best classroom. Our learners are often outside exploring, getting their hands dirty, and using nature as a source of endless curiosity and discovery.
- Curiosity, Creativity, & Wellbeing: We foster a deep sense of curiosity that drives investigation and critical thinking. Through creative expression and developmentally appropriate pedagogy, our learners build essential literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills - all contributing to their wellbeing.
- Belonging & Equity: A strong sense of belonging is our priority. We are a place where children see themselves reflected and respected—a mirror looking inward. We are also a window to the world of others, actively promoting equity and understanding for everyone in our community.
This year, we are grounding our school culture in two essential themes that encourage deep growth:
- Reflection: Learning is not just what we do, it is also what we learn from what we do. We encourage our children and staff to pause and reflect on their experiences, celebrating success and learning from mistakes. This is where the most impactful growth happens, and we offer grace to ourselves and others through that process.

Children teach adults, adults teach children, and we all learn from our community and the environment. This belief in mutual respect and reciprocity strengthens our connections and amplifies every voice.
