Pre-enrolment 2024-25

For the 2024 - 2025 school year, Aleda Patterson School is full in planned classes in the Arts Core program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 3 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the Arts Core program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or if you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

Welcome to Aleda Patterson School!

Welcome to Aleda Patterson School!

We are in our third year as a school community and we are deeply honoured to serve students in Kindergarten to grade 3.

Our mighty and capable learners are immersed in an environment steeped in curiosity, enriched by opportunities to play, learn in nature, and co-construct their learning experience.  Those we serve have agency in their learning and are held to high standards in a supportive space.

A sense of belonging is foundational to the Aleda Patterson experience. We have created a space where children see themselves, like a mirror looking inward...and a place where they have a window out into the world of others. Developing a healthy, connected sense of belonging is of highest priority.

In our school, where students and staff are encouraged to take risks and truly value one another, grace plays a central role. Some of the most impactful learning happens when we make mistakes or fail trying. We offer ourselves and each other grace so we all feel safe and understand it is far better to try and fail than to never have tried at all.

As the staff at Aleda Patterson School, it is our purpose to create impactful learning experiences that focus on developing social-emotional and academic competencies so our mighty and capable learners and citizens can live lives of dignity and fulfillment, now and in the future.

My role as school leader is to find the potential in those I serve, children and adults, and have the courage to do what it takes to develop that potential.

Aleda's Bees are curious, caring, and creative.  We believe in our vision and we work everyday to make those words visible!
